Expected Behavior

Would like to scale an image

Current Behavior

When using

Trying to use this in jimpImage.scaleToFit so that i can scale an image

  • Jimp Version: ^0.16.1
  • Operating System: windows 10
  • Node version: react: ^17.0.1

Research direction
The error occurs in decoder.js at the JPEG parsing logic. The marker 0x494d is not a valid JPEG marker. Investigate the source of this marker: it might be due to an embedded TIFF thumbnail or an image misidentified as JPEG. Check the image file's actual format. Look at the Jimp read flow: from Jimp.read to parseBitmap to decoder. Consider adding a check for common non JPEG markers or improve the error message to indicate possible file format issues. The image URL in the issue can be used for testing.
